The Red Flag Canal, located in Linzhou City, Anyang City, Henan Province, is a water conservancy project built by the people of Linxian County (present-day Linzhou City) in the 1960s to divert Zhangzhang into the forest from the waist of the Taihang Mountains under extremely difficult conditions, which is called the “Artificial Heavenly River”. With a total length of 1,500 kilometers, nearly 100,000 people involved in the construction, and a time span of nearly 10 years, this great project is the “Miracle of New China” and has been called the “Eighth Wonder of the World”.
